What does it mean to be biracial? Within the pages of Interwoven are stories of experiences; the biracial experience. Interwoven acts as a place for people of mixed heritage to find community, and learn from one another’s experiences. The masthead is made up of two very different typefaces that have been brought together to create something unique. Throughout its pages, a variety of cultural fabrics have been ‘interwoven’ with each other to create a new kind of fabric that is uniquely beautiful. The color palette is primarily orange and teal, two colors that are not commonly seen together but compliment each other. Combining illustration and photography, the visuals within the pages of Interwoven are as diverse as its audience.
