Hi, I’m Mikala!
In May of 2020, I graduated from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design with concentrations in Graphic Design and Illustration.
Brand development, editorial design, digital illustration, and designing fashion graphics are my main interests. I am passionate about exploring design trends from the past and re-purposing them for the modern audience. Continually seeking inspiration in the world around me begins with extensive research; the first step in my creative process.
Being intensely detail-oriented and diligent helps me get the job done. I am adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced environment, but be warned, I ask a lot of questions! When challenges arise, I listen, prioritize, and execute the necessary steps to overcome them. Should setbacks occur, I am able to regroup and see the project through.
When I’m not drinking too much espresso, you can find me enjoying a Queen record, thrift shopping, or bothering my cats. Currently, I am looking for full-time employment in the Greater Philadelphia area.
